Mitsubishi Electric MSZ-AP systems use advanced inverter heat pump technology to deliver efficient heating and cooling. Rather than generating heat directly from electricity, the system transfers heat, helping reduce energy consumption compared with conventional electric resistance heating.
Seasonal heating efficiency measures how much useful heat the system delivers across a whole heating season relative to the electricity it uses. Because inverter systems modulate rather than switching on and off at full power, they can hold a room at temperature with less energy than a fixed-output system — which is where the running-cost savings come from over autumn and winter.
Energy ratings and actual running costs depend on the exact model and capacity, climate, electricity tariffs and how the system is used. We'll confirm the published SEER, SCOP and energy label figures for the specific MSZ-AP model and capacity you choose rather than applying one rating across the range.

The MSZ-AP uses double airflow vanes — two independently adjustable louvres — to direct heated or cooled air where you want it. In heating mode the vanes angle the warm air down towards the floor, where it spreads and rises naturally, and in cooling mode they lift the cooler air across the ceiling so it falls gently through the room rather than blowing straight at you.
The result is a more even room temperature with fewer hot or cold spots, and a system that stays comfortable to sit under in a bedroom or living room.
